What Is Sprocket?

A sprocket is a contoured wheel with teeth or cogs that interlock with a chain, track, or other perforated/notched components. The term "sprocket" broadly refers to any wheel with radial projections designed to engage with a chain traveling over it.

Sprockets can be mounted on either the front or rear of a vehicle—sometimes both. In specific configurations, an additional elevated sprocket may also be included to power the track.

G33MnCrMo5, G33Mn4, SCMnCr4B, ZG40Mn, and ZG35Mn materials are used for sprocket depending on the model, size and working conditions. The surface hardness reaches HRC48-56 with minimum hardness depth between 5-10mm(HRC45) after the heat treatment process. The sprocket is able to operate even under harsh working conditions with long wear resistance and remarkably improved service life, leading to reduction of our customers' operating costs.
